IRCとは、Internet Relay Chat の略で、インターネットでのオンライン会議システム(平たく言うとチャット)の一つです。IRCの特徴は、サーバ同士が互いにリンクし分散処理によって非常に多くのユーザに対処する事が出来る事です。
